Baubles are a popular decoration for young people. These “funny bracelets” have become widely known since the days of the hippies, but have since been forgotten about them. But the 21st century has become a renewal of history, including jewelry from the 60s.
In an effort to show their individuality, young girls create their own patterns for beaded baubles and bracelets. These can be bright or delicate combinations of beads, which are suitable not only for little girls, but also for adult girls who prefer clothes in a formal style.
General techniques
The baubles begin and end mainly with braids made of threads. They are designed to tie a bauble on your hand. You can also weave a loop at the beginning of the work, and a braid at the end of the lace. There are paired and single threads. If there is an even number of threads in the diagram, then a thread of the same color can be folded in half and we will get two threads of the same color. So, for example, if our bauble consists of 6 threads (2 red, 2 white and 2 yellow), we take only 1 long thread of red, 1 white and 1 yellow and fold them in half, resulting in 6 threads. For single threads, 1 thread is used.
All knots are woven from two threads. One thread is the working thread, the other thread is the base on which the knot is made. The color of the knot always matches the color of the working thread. If you use thin threads for weaving, then you need to make a double knot, that is, repeat the desired knot 2 times on the base thread. Beginning of work. Take the required number of threads and fold them together.
A simple pattern for weaving a bauble.
Step back from the edge of the braid threads and tie all the threads with a double knot. Secure the knot with a pin to any base (pad or pant leg). Straighten all the threads in accordance with the diagram. End of work. After the main pattern of the baubles is woven. We finish the work with braids on both sides. If the threads were paired and folded in half, the resulting loop must be cut.
How to secure the threads for weaving a bauble?
In order for the pattern to be smooth and the threads not to fall apart, they must be secured at the beginning of work. You can do this in one of the following four ways.
Method No. 1: we tie each thread with a knot to a pin, and we fasten the pin itself to the fabric, for example, a tablecloth, the back of a sofa, or even jeans on the knee
