Slavic amulet Rodimich: meaning and properties

Origin story of Rodimich

The ancient Slavic people believed that it was the god Rod who was the creator of 3 worlds - Reveal, Navi, Rule. Hence the belief that without respect for one’s roots one cannot find happiness. This defines honor, respect for ancestors and elders, which today, unfortunately, is seen less and less often.

God Rod was a kind of connecting element between departed ancestors and their descendants who were born. The almighty deity protected families, so amulets created in his honor were passed down by inheritance. They helped me all my life, saving me from problems.

Such things were kept by the main family members, who were especially respected. The talisman amulet was considered only masculine and personified the masculine principle. Each father made a similar amulet for his son when he was born.

The product protected the baby from evil spirits, and helped the grown-up boy to acquire calmness and obedience. Thanks to the patronage of the Family, it allowed young men to acquire the qualities of a warrior, to become real men, defenders, and successors of their family.

For men

For several centuries, this talisman has been considered suitable exclusively for men. The reason for this lies in the rough shape and large angles of the product, in contrast, for example, to the smooth Lada star, which is an exclusively female sign. Massive jewelry, neither in terms of its powerful energy nor its rough appearance, is suitable for girls and women.

Such a talisman will be an excellent gift for the head of the family, as it will give a man energy and self-confidence. You can give a special amulet to a boy for his birthday. The amulet will protect you from negative energy, protect you from danger and unpleasant situations, give you inner harmony and tranquility, and relieve insomnia. The amulet will bring confidence, masculinity, and determination to a young man.

A guy who has this amulet is able to rationally and immediately make the necessary decisions. It is appropriate to remember that in order for Rodimich to fully reveal his unique properties, it is worth choosing small silver items.

What does the symbol look like?

The unique pagan symbol looks somewhat special; it bears little resemblance to many other ancient Slavic signs. Firstly, at first glance, the symbol represents a swastika element, depicted in a crude and angular manner.

Broken lines have a complex alignment. A careful examination allows you to see that this is not just a meaningless intersection of lines, but a peculiar writing of rune letters:

  • G "ga" - conscious movement;
  • P “limit” – completion of the path of life;
  • “]” – closes the gate to the dead;
  • With “svati” - the birth of light, new life;
  • W (well) – receiving vital energy, strength;
  • M (mother) – fully formed in order to conceive, leave behind offspring.

Who is the amulet suitable for?

Talisman Rodimich is suitable for young parents who cannot cope with raising their children. Many people give it as a gift when a boy appears in the family. He will give them strength and wisdom. This amulet is especially important for young fathers. Since ancient times, it has been believed that men have a much stronger connection with their ancestors than women. Rodimich strengthens the connection between generations. The young father thus adopts the wisdom of his ancestors.

Why was Rodimich previously considered a man's amulet?

Since the times of the ancient Slavs, Rodimich was considered a talisman for men. It had a rougher shape, the symbol had large angles, which were considered a masculine form. The amulet was given to the owner of the home. He added confidence in his abilities. This amulet is also suitable for children. In the past, it was often given to boys on their birthdays. People believed that Rodimich would protect the baby from various dangers. The child who wore this amulet became calm and reasonable. The talisman gave balance to the future warrior.

In the past, Rodimich was always considered the head of the family, emphasizing the wisdom and rights of the eldest in the family. The amulet helps men accumulate strength and energy, after which they can successfully realize it. It supports a person and helps him achieve his goals.

The meaning of the Rodimich amulet

The one-sided Slavic amulet personified the connection with the ancestors. Double-sided from Svarozhich - he brought people strength of spirit. It turns out that, in general, the product endowed those in need with fortitude, patience, will, determination, in order to endure all the hardships and difficulties and be able to pass on to their descendants the experience gained from their ancestors.

The sketch of the drawing was originally drawn up with special wisdom. The simple yet complex ornament hides many secrets. Who can wear it and how to use the amulet

This amulet is not intended for girls, little girls and women. It is truly masculine and can be used during infancy. Such products are given to husbands, sons, and brothers.

The product must be used in such a way that outsiders do not even realize that it is under the protection of the highest gods. Therefore, it is best to wear it as an amulet pendant, placing it approximately so that it hangs over the heart area.

Periodically, a sacred object requires cleansing to eliminate accumulated negative energy. For this purpose, washing under the tap and irrigating with holy water are suitable. Additionally, you can charge it with moonlight and sunlight for 3 days.

Important! The Rodimich amulet is able to have a positive influence only when a person has realized his mistakes and has embarked on the path of correction and self-knowledge. If the mind is even visited by negative thoughts, the ancient signs will not bring any benefit.

The owner of a valuable item made following the example of ancient amulets will gain confidence, the strength to live a new day and endure new suffering with pride. The talisman will protect against diseases and will not allow the soul to be captured by evil spirits.

Proper use of the talisman

An amulet is considered not a simple decoration, but a spiritualized object. It must be treated with due respect and attention. If treated carelessly, the amulet stops working for the benefit of its owner.

Since ancient times, the Slavs revered divine symbols and wore them correctly:

  1. The amulet should always be at the level of the heart; it should be hung on a linen cord. This helped cleanse the heart of bad thoughts and prevented us from committing bad deeds.
  2. If Rodimich was presented as a gift, and not made with one’s own hands, then before putting it on, it was necessary to cleanse it of other people’s energy. After all, the amulet absorbs the traces of everyone who manages to touch it.
  3. Along with the talisman, it was allowed to wear the skins and claws of a killed animal, but only if it was killed in a fair fight, without the use of firearms. If this rule is not followed, the effect of the talisman is terminated. In case of cracks, unevenness and darkening, you should pay attention to the amulet, because it is extremely dissatisfied with the behavior of its owner.

The meaning of the Rodimich tattoo

It is immediately worth noting that the energy of the Rodimich symbol is very great. Therefore, if there is no special need, and just for fun, applying a tattoo with a design of an ancient symbol to your body is prohibited.

God Rod cannot be deceived; something done only for beauty will not bring any benefit to its owner. On the contrary, in this way you can anger God and receive punishment for your act.

Those who need such powerful protection at a certain period of life can get a temporary tattoo. An inspired pattern will bring only good things to its owner:

  • protection from evil spirits;
  • clears negative energy;
  • when necessary, he will give strength to the entire family.

However, you cannot brag about your tattoo and show it to everyone you meet. The drawing must be hidden from prying eyes and one must sincerely believe in its power. Under his protection, mental suffering, family problems will pass, there will be no more depression, scandals and quarrels with those closest to you.

Double amulet Rodimich-Svarozhich

Most amulets in the form of pendants and pendants were made using the classical method. The image of the symbol was painted or carved on one side of the decoration, while the other side remained blank.

But some talismans are only allowed to be made through. That is, such that there is a gap through the design of the sign. Rodimich is also one of those. Very often, end-to-end amulets on the reverse side contain completely different symbols that have their own meaning. Vivid examples of this phenomenon are such paired amulets as Ladinets and Kolyadnik, Perunov's color and Odolen's grass.

When purchasing such jewelry, you need to take into account the properties and capabilities of the two signs. There are no instructions regarding wearing a double talisman - which side should be the front one, determine intuitively. But remember that the top symbol will prevail over the one left on the back.

The situation is the same with Rodimich. The back side of this amulet depicts another Slavic symbol - Svarozhich. Rodimich-Svarozhich is a more powerful protective symbol than a talisman on which only one of these signs is present. But what role does Svarozhich play here?

The amulets Rodimich and Svarozhich are a mirror image of each other.

The symbol Svarozhich is an attribute of the god Svarog, called the Heavenly Father. This deity was held in special esteem by the Slavs. Svarozhich himself, named after the blacksmith god, symbolized the special connection of the Slavs with the ancient deity.

If Rodimich helps to maintain contact with ancestors and strengthen the spirit, then Svarozhich reminds that all people are children of the gods. And the energy of fire, with which Svarog worked, helps to undergo cleansing and receive protection from any negativity. In addition, the owner of such a double amulet will be able to find new life values and develop creative skills.

How to make a talisman yourself

According to ancient Slavic mythology, our ancestors always made such products on their own. Women embroidered sacred symbols on their husbands' clothes with red threads; a modern person can do the same - use embroidery to make a talisman for themselves.

Wanting to get a stronger product, they take stone, silver, wood, form a rounded shape for the object and put on it the image of mysterious ancient runes. Be sure to perform a cleansing ritual before use.

Making the Rodimich amulet yourself does not mean “buying an assistant that is not as strong as when using a ready-made purchased product.” What is done with kindness with your own hands will work much stronger and faster.

How to activate protection

This is the most difficult process, if you do not take into account the making of the amulet itself. But the result is worth the time spent. In order for the Rodimich amulet to gain strength, it is first cleansed. To do this you will need to use all 4 natural elements.

  1. Earth. For 3 days the amulet is buried in the soil. It is better to do this in the forest or near a natural spring. Soil from a flower pot is also suitable, but after such a ritual it is thrown away.
  2. Water. Rodimich needs to be lowered into a natural spring with a fast flow for several minutes. You can rinse with running water, but the ritual time increases to half an hour.
  3. Fire. If the amulet is made of durable, refractory metal, it can be placed in a fire for a while. If the material of the product is wood or leather, just lightly scorch it with fire. You cannot use a flame from a gas burner or lighter - only a natural source. It is better if the fire is produced by friction.
  4. Air. Several options are suitable for the last stage - fumigation with smoke from herbs or hanging in the wind.

Experienced magicians claim that during the cleansing process, the amulet is additionally charged with energy and activated. But for this to work, this is not enough; the amulet must completely connect with the owner at the energy level. Therefore, after cleaning it needs to be charged. During the waxing phase of the moon, late in the evening, stand by the window, take Rodimich in your left hand and squeeze tightly. Stand like this for several minutes, asking the god Rod for protection and strength.

Rules for using Slavic amulets

A talisman is not just a decoration, but almost an animate object. It requires special treatment and care, because if you treat it carelessly, then its strength will not benefit such a careless owner. The ancient Slavs honored the symbols of the gods, and wore them as their ancestors bequeathed:

  1. The breast amulet is located almost in the area of the heart, so most often it was hung on a linen cord, which was considered a pure material, so that the heart would always be clean from filth. They were hung on a metal chain much less often.
  2. If the Slavic jewelry was presented as a gift, and not made independently, before putting it on oneself, a ritual of cleansing of foreign energy was performed. It retained traces of all the people who touched it.
  3. Fangs, claws and skins could also be worn next to the amulet, but only if the animal was killed in a fair fight and with cold steel. Therefore, it was impossible to hang an amulet on a leather cord purchased in a shop if the method of obtaining the animal was unknown.

You should also promptly cleanse the amulet from negative emotions, against which it serves as a shield. If you neglect this rule, the chest amulet may not withstand the load and simply stop working. Cracks, chips and darkening of silver may indicate that your protector himself needs help.

Amulet Svarozhich-Rodimich

The symbol, carved from wood or cast from metal, had a second side. In this case, it acquired a double name - Svarozhich-Rodimich, or, for example, Ladinets-Kolyadnik. The mirror image changes its meaning, depending on which side the amulet is turned over. It was believed that the joint image increased the power of each sign.

Svarozhich is the embodiment of living heavenly fire. The children of the god Svarog, Perun, Svetovid, Lado and other gods of ancient Rus' were called Svarozhichi. The image of the symbol carries within itself a piece of the power not only of Svarog himself, but also of all his descendants. As you know, the Slavs considered themselves the grandchildren of the gods. Therefore, the owner of the amulet wore it with pride, because it emphasized the direct affiliation of the owner with the ancient gods themselves.

Both symbols provide incredible power and protective strength, strengthening a person’s personal spirit through connection with the strength of his ancestors.
