The Fool is a Tarot card that belongs to the Major Arcana in the deck. The map shows a jester on the edge of an abyss. He looks at the sky and inevitably falls into the abyss, from which a small dog tries to save him. The jester has a rose in one hand and a stick with a bag in the other, with magical symbols depicted on the bag.
The Fool Tarot card also has names - Fool and Madman. Most often the card is called the Jester or the Fool, these are the most common names. The title "Madman" is used less frequently.
Next we will consider in detail the meaning of this card and its combination.
Direct Fool (Tarot): meaning and interpretation
The world develops from chaos to a certain structure, which again collapses and returns to its original state. This circle is eternal and concerns both the entire universe and the individual. Chaos is characterized by the absence of a rational grain, recognition of the divinity of the universe. Structure is a reliance on previous experience, logic, established rules and order. But it contains a denial of the primacy of the divine over what the individual achieves on his own. The Fool (Tarot), whose meaning corresponds to the primordial chaos, shows a state of complete denial of previous achievements, accumulated experience, and acquired knowledge. This is purity and infantile gullibility, actions under the guidance of intuition, recognition of the Supreme leadership. Arkan describes a situation when nothing previously acquired can be used. You need to listen to your intuition and rely on its prompts. When a person knows what the truth is, you cannot lead him astray or deceive him. He is under the protection of a Guardian Angel, who leads him along the path necessary to achieve happiness. The Fool card in the Tarot is numbered “zero”. This is the beginning of everything, the primordial chaos.
Card of the Year
This year can play an important role in your life as “year one”, from which a new stage will begin. Try to find out and understand all the opportunities that open up for a person who is completely open to the “city and the world.” Let the next 12 months become a period of eternal spring for you. Let go of your seriousness and habitual methods of solving problems, give them a break: let life give you its surprises. Be guided by your innate curiosity. Act instinctively, without trying to figure out where your chosen path will lead you. You have a chance to experience something truly unusual, breaking out of the boring routine of everyday life. And, since the Fool symbolizes carefreeness and the unclouded joy of life, it is quite possible that by the end of this year you will feel much younger than you do now.
Fool reversed (Tarot): meaning
As bright and positive as the image of the direct lasso is, it is so unpredictable and destructive in its reverse form. This is a situation popularly described by one phrase: “without a king in my head.” Inverted, the Fool (Tarot) has the most destructive meaning. In a certain sense, this lasso is worse than the Tower. He talks about the inability to navigate the situation to such an extent that all achievements are destroyed with one’s own hands. This lasso foreshadows the leadership of a stupid, self-confident swagger, despising everything around. It is necessary to look at whether it influences the fortuneteller or shows the action of external forces. In any case, you need to freeze, stop all processes, avoid important steps and decisions. The fool says that the situation is developing in the most unfavorable way; a cunning, insidious enemy is nearby. This person weaves intrigues, the essence of which is difficult for a normal person to understand. He spreads gossip, arranges unwanted meetings, steals documents, and the like. It is difficult to resist his activity, since it is not possible to understand his logic. The meaning of the Tarot card The Fool in reverse is the most negative. In its extreme version, it describes a situation when they deliberately try to drive a person crazy by building a different reality around him.
Combination with Tarot Pentacles cards
Tarot Fool, together with the arcana of the suit of Pentacles that fell next to each other, has the following meaning:
- with the Ace of Pentacles - easy income, find a valuable thing;
- with a Two - split personality;
- with a Troika - you should take care of your health;
- with a Four - behave like a snob;
- with Five - wander in the desert;
- with a Six - wastefulness;
- with a Seven - invest in an unpromising project;
- with an Eight - lack of desire to acquire skills to master a profession;
- with Nine - do not attach importance to money;
- with Ten - return to the family;
- with Page - do not finish your studies;
- with the Knight - problems in the financial sector related to exchange rates;
- with the Queen - a thoughtless waste of money;
- with the King - financial manipulations that will not be successful.
Influence on the love alignment of the direct lasso
Experts do not really trust the alignment for amorous affairs when the Fool (Tarot) appears in it. The meaning of this card in love is unpredictability. It is difficult to assess what exactly to prepare for. Our lasso is complete chaos. It can foreshadow both a new acquaintance and the oblivion of an old love, as well as a base trick of the current gentleman. Sometimes the card is interpreted directly - one of the couple is stupid as a plug. And nothing can be done about it, you can only accept this fact. For lonely people, the lasso gives hope. He suggests that it is necessary to follow the voice of intuition. The guardian angel leads straight to a meeting with fate. But the road will be replete with oddities, unpleasant, infuriating, confusing events. A powerful, ancient force has entered the fortuneteller’s life; it will force him to find himself in (this is evidenced by the general meaning of the Tarot card Fool) relationships that the person himself is now unable to imagine. Everything will be turned upside down, including your worldview. Arcanum advice: submit to the primordial energy, do not resist.
Career and finance
Regarding a career, the jester card is usually adamant - you need to start something from scratch in your work. And find the strength to move away from the current situation, mistakes and failures. Also, the jester card can appear in layouts for another reason - when you need to make the right choice from a large number of different options.
But even the most winning solution at first glance does not guarantee success and can leave the fortuneteller tormented in uncertainty for a long time. Although there is simply no other choice, and a choice still has to be made. And as unbiased and impartial as possible. It is then that the decision will be as correct as possible.
In reverse, a card with a picture of a fool indicates a lack of proper professionalism and experience. And it indicates a complete lack of willingness to take on some responsibility at work. It also talks about a certain chaos in actions and plans, when absolute uncertainty comes first.
Decoding an inverted card in a love reading
You will encounter or yourself will demonstrate childish spontaneity, bordering on stupidity. Relationships will be very seriously tested. There are situations when true love helps to forgive. This is precisely what our lasso foreshadows, and it is not for nothing that its second name is the Jester. The Fool (Tarot) meaning in this situation is not just negative, but destructive. It is especially unfavorable for married couples. Your partner probably has a hobby on the side. If the Three of Swords falls nearby, the outcome of the situation will be a complete break. This is not necessarily a divorce, but a cooling to the point of hatred, the inability to tolerate each other’s company. If fortune telling is carried out for a person who is just planning a relationship, it means that he has fallen under the influence of a bad personality, he is carried away by a beautiful shell that hides a narcissistic, dishonest egoist. At best, this poor fellow will be disappointed by his intended partner. To judge in more detail what the Fool lasso (Tarot) has in a relationship should be determined by its position in the chart. For lonely people, this card foreshadows an affair with a sad ending. It will leave, as they say, an unpleasant aftertaste. You will regret that you entered into a relationship without thinking.
Card of the day
Today you should be open to everything new. Perceive everything as unprejudicedly as possible, do not take anything to heart and treat even unpleasant things with only curiosity. The less you remember about your usual assessments and ideas, the more creative and unexpected this day can become for you. If today you find yourself convinced that you will have to start something anew, from scratch, then do not despair, but on the contrary, happily take on a new endeavor. Today you can allow yourself to be a little crazy!
What features of relationships does the direct lasso foreshadow?
You are at the very beginning of the romantic path. The partner beckons, makes you want to get to know him better. Everything arouses delight and interest: appearance, gestures, smile, gaze. The prospective partner is prone to shocking and extravagance. This is what attracts, there is a certain zest in it. Another option: the acquaintance took place in an unusual place or in a strange way. It intrigued and gave rise to a feeling of mystery or “forbidden fruit.” Sometimes the lasso shows that the fortuneteller will meet his fate far from home, or his chosen one will be a wanderer, an alien, a resident of another country or city. It should be noted that the Fool card in the Tarot has an ambiguous interpretation. Sometimes it means a fan with an unusual hobby or profession.
List of keywords
The Fool card, like the rest of the Tarot Arcana, has a special list of keywords that contribute to its interpretation:
- infantilism and childishness;
- restlessness and fuss;
- bliss and stupidity;
- mistakes and misconceptions;
- fun and childhood.
The words presented above can not only contribute to the interpretation of the jester’s card, but will also make it easy to remember its main meanings.
The meaning of the lasso for couples with experience
The partner will reveal himself from a different, unfamiliar side. For example, a cheerful person will turn into a gloomy homebody, fiery passion will be replaced by indifference, and the like. This “other person” will not necessarily be unpleasant. But you will have to get used to different “rules of the game”, adapt or get used to it again. Sometimes the lasso portends simply stupid behavior in some situation, an inability to make mature, thoughtful decisions. In a male scenario, the Fool indicates the subtle intuition of the partner. If it is followed by favorable cards (Peace, Empress, Pope), the fortuneteller should be more attentive to her words. A woman, without realizing it, guides this man through life, pushes him in the direction necessary for his development and success. We can say that this is a sign of special favor of fate towards the couple.
Basic Key Ideas
In addition to the words listed above, the Arcana Tarot Jester also has a special list of key ideas that help in deciphering it:
- jester at the royal court;
- past mistakes and misconceptions;
- wearing carnival masks;
- restless and fussy thoughts;
- inability to distinguish between evil and good;
- retribution for past sins;
- knowledge of the world and new discoveries.
When fortune telling with Tarot cards, it is very important to know such lists, since with their help it will be much easier to understand the secret meaning of any arcana and all fortune telling in general.
The meaning of the straight lasso for single people
You are entering a phase of uncertainty. Loneliness, even very comfortable, does not last forever. An event will happen soon that could change your life. The outcome is unpredictable. Usually he is judged by the neighboring lasso. The layout creates a unique picture, which is necessarily associated with the personality of the fortuneteller; this is precisely the advantage and meaning of Tarot cards. A fool in combination, for example, with the Sun portends great, warm and long-lasting love for single people. If a Magician is present in the layout, it means that this connection will seem mystical and unusual. But in combination with the Moon, our lasso speaks of the deceptiveness of the situation. Most likely, love will turn out to be ephemeral, and the partner will turn out to be an ordinary business trip. He will suddenly disappear from the life of the fortuneteller as soon as the production necessity of staying in his city ends.
Combination with the Major Arcana
The Jester (0 lasso), together with the Tarot cards of this group, has the following meanings:
- with the Magician - rash actions, self-indulgence, a naive view of the world, the danger of losing sanity;
- with the High Priestess - the effectiveness of a long-planned business, victory over an opponent, new secrets;
- with the Empress - unwanted pregnancy, its unauthorized or forced termination;
- with the Emperor - governance after anarchy, achieving harmony and tranquility;
- with the Hierophant - the state of searching for the other half, frankness;
- with Lovers - a new acquaintance that will develop into a serious relationship, the separation of the child from home and relatives;
- with the Chariot - unpredictable events, defeat;
- with Strength - uncontrollable emotional state, novelty in sexual life;
- with the Hermit - fruitless search, purification;
- with the Wheel of Fortune - a chance for dramatic changes;
- with Justice - deviation from the law, search for truth;
- with the Hanged Man - troubles, unpredictable actions, difficult childbearing;
- with Death - loss of a chance for positive changes, bad news, shock;
- with Moderation - good luck in business, a new ally;
- with the Devil - cynicism, crazy actions with unpleasant consequences, lies, complexes;
- with the Tower - bad influence of the past on the present, negligence;
- with the Star - freedom, innocence, auspicious path;
- with the Moon - fears, neuroses, naivety, drug or alcohol use;
- with the Sun - need for attention, fame, acting skills;
- with the Court - a performance for the public,
- with the World - adventure, travel.
The meaning of the lasso in the “past” position
The relationship began in an unusual way, probably far from home. At first glance, the partner seemed strange, a little out of control. The whole situation seems unreal to the fortuneteller, fantastic; he is not confident in his soul mate, he is afraid to open up completely. Sometimes this lasso speaks of a large difference in age or social status. Inverted, it describes a betrayal that occurred earlier, some sudden strong experience. It may indicate shame caused by the behavior of a partner, which worries the person who turned to Tarot cards.
Combinations with the suit of Wands
The next combination to study is the combination of the Jester lasso with cards from the suit of Wands:
- Two of Wands - represents a sharp transition from frivolous behavior to very unexpected seriousness;
- Three of Wands – advises to stop playing meaningless games and move on to active actions;
- Four of Wands - symbolizes chaos in the soul and home, foreshadows children's holidays and the appearance of children in the family;
- Five of Wands - talks about children's quarrels and conflicts due to ordinary misunderstandings;
- Six of Wands - is a symbol of an easy victory that cannot bring serious satisfaction;
- Seven of Wands - the inner meaning boils down to an incredibly precarious state of affairs;
- Eight of Wands - promises an unforgettable trip and receiving a very pleasant message from children;
- Nine of Wands - speaks of pandering to a certain person, which will not lead to anything good;
- Ten of Wands - indicates unnecessary suffering, which should be gotten rid of as soon as possible;
- Page of Wands - the main interpretation comes down to a disdainful attitude towards studies and frequent absences from classes;
- Knight of Wands - talks about a certain person experiencing an unbridled sense of self-satisfaction;
- King of Wands - speaks of a turning point in the life of an elderly person;
- Queen of Wands - indicates a disdainful attitude towards professional duty;
- Ace of Wands - acts as a symbol of passionate desires, inspiration and threats.
The presented combinations will help in correctly deciphering the layout and will allow you to most correctly interpret the main designation of punishment with the image of a jester.
The meaning of the lasso in the “present” position
You have reached a point of uncertainty in your relationship. Any turn can occur, either a break or a complete connection of souls. In this situation, it is necessary to rely on feelings, rejecting logic. No matter what happens around you, try to listen to your heart. Sometimes the card indicates the sudden departure of a partner. This turn of events will destroy insincere relationships, but will strengthen true love. The separation will be long. However, there is no need to be afraid of these changes. They will allow you to experience the joy of reunion in a new way, if, of course, you both pass the test. With negative cards (Tower, Hanged Man) it foretells a separation due to stupidity, which people will regret for a long time.
Basic combinations with cups
In a variety of fortune telling, you can see cards depicting cups or cups.
In such cases, the meaning of the Tarot arcana of the suit of Cups in combination with the jester is interpreted as follows:
- Two of Cups - talks about a person experiencing real love intoxication from the relationship taking place at a given moment in time;
- Three of Cups - personifies incredibly easy, simple and pleasant relationships between close relatives;
- Four of Cups - foretells bright holiday fun, threatening to end with a serious hangover;
- Five of Cups - speaks of a devil-may-care attitude, leading to very significant damage;
- Six of Cups - indicates distant childhood memories and foreshadows a trip to the homeland and the commission of stupid childhood actions;
- Seven of Cups - talks about a certain fool who does not need to be threatened in order to achieve what he wants, just lie to him;
- Eight of Cups - speaks of vagrancy, slowly developing into an unpleasant habit;
- Nine of Cups - indicates an irresistible craving for bad habits and excessive libations that can negatively affect health;
- Ten of Cups - promises a mandatory return home, to a narrow and incredibly friendly family circle;
- Page of Cups - talks about a certain habit of being seduced by something not worthy of special attention;
- Knight of Cups - speaks of childish idealism and immature propaganda on the part of the fortuneteller;
- King of Cups - indicates a person who urgently wants to find a companion for a drink in order to drown out the restless thoughts in his own head;
- Queen of Cups - acts as a symbol of easy and relaxed flirting, which can develop into something bigger and more significant;
- Ace of Cups - talks about excessive passion for alcohol, childhood love, the search for participation and love.
The listed card combinations will help you quickly understand fortune telling and direct its interpretation in the right direction. With their help, any fortune telling will be in full view, revealing the main secrets from the life of a fortuneteller.
The meaning of the lasso describing outside influence
Lovers constantly communicate with other people, close and not so close. Friends and relatives influence their mood, thoughts, and actions. If the Fool lasso falls in this position, it means that the couple will encounter unfavorable events. Someone from their environment will “fool the heads” of both. This person will try to create doubts that the partner is sincere, open and honest. You know, sometimes older relatives consider it their duty to warn lovers against a “fatal mistake.” This, of course, is annoying and stressful, especially if you trust the person. The cards recommend looking for the rational grain in a situation, relying on the voice of intuition. After the test, the relationship will reach a new level of trust.
Bottom line
The presented card combinations are truly unique, since they allow you to decipher the main designation of the Fool card as accurately as possible, and help to solve the entire fortune-telling story as a whole.
After all, the appearance of a lasso with a jester in fortune telling suggests plunging headlong into the abyss and describes a very open and inquisitive person, capable of very rash and unexpected actions.
Also, the card often speaks of the onset of a new period in the fortuneteller’s life and carries a lot of additional symbols.
That is why it is so important to pay special attention to the Jester lasso and study its basic combinations with other cards from the deck. Only in this case will the deep and very important meaning of the lasso with the image of the jester be revealed.
The meaning of the lasso in the “result” position
This is probably the most ambiguous fortune telling. If the alignment ends with the Fool lasso, it means you need to take strict control of the situation. Life flows smoothly towards stormy rapids. And no one can predict how the two will cross. Almost all couples have such periods. They should be passed holding hands, without allowing the hearts to lose constant connection. The situation may seem absurd and uncontrollable for a while. We need to trust each other, walk through the fog, by touch, but together. Only in this case the couple will not suffer and will reach another level. Sometimes, however, only one of the partners gets there. Then for some time he will act as a mentor for another. How the relationship develops further depends on both of them.
Jester-Fool (0/XXI)
"Creator of the New"
“The Fool-Jester” is one of the three Higher Rays.
This means that a person born with this Ray faces a very difficult and interesting task for this life, and for this purpose he is given special opportunities and the ability to pass through significant energies of the Flow, inaccessible to representatives of other, non-Higher, Rays. In this regard, representatives of all Higher Rays are not able to begin implementing their Mission at the first two levels of development of their Ray. The main task
of the representative of this Ray is to realize the highest Mission of man - to be a co-creator of this Universe, in other words, to create new ideas and opportunities for people in this world.
By the Universe here we mean an individual set of generally accepted ideas about the world around us (this includes the traditional way of life of large social groups, cultural and historical context, assessment of one’s own experiences, way of thinking, etc.). After all, it never occurred to anyone to use a drill as a mixer, but one day the “Jester the Fool” appeared, and after some time this method of mixing (for example, wallpaper glue) became almost universally accepted. “The Fool-Jester” is a born generator of ideas
. And here you need to pay attention to one very significant feature. The ideas of other Rays (for example, the “Magician”) are most often the answer to some question posed by society, and therefore are almost always acceptable, implementable and supported by the majority. The ideas of the “Jester” are always so original and come without a “social demand” that the inert majority of the population is perceived with hostility because they do not complement, but break the established and habitual way of their life. In any society there are groups of people who are tired of everyday life and want to get something new. They accept the ideas of the “Jester-Fool” with a bang. So “The Jester” will always, if desired, be able to find consumers for his idea in a special, specific circle of people. For some time, this idea of the “Jester” is used by the “chosen ones”, they get used to it, and then it gradually becomes generally accepted, and if at the same time the “Jester” cannot attract a “producer” to promote it, then he loses control over it, Others begin to enjoy the fruits of this idea, and the “Jester” is forced to start over. However, this rarely depresses the “Jester,” because the process of creating something new is much more important to him than the fruits of his labors.
It is impossible to remain indifferent to any manifestations of the “Jester”. As soon as he declares himself, those around him are sharply divided into those who are annoyed with him and those who admire him. People with a flexible psyche are able to change their attitude towards the “Jester” from irritation to admiration several times a day
When cinema appeared, “Jesters” became favorite comedy heroes. The scriptwriters introduced them into situations that allowed them to laugh at them in a good or evil way. This is Faina Ranevskaya, and Charlie Chaplin, and Louis De Funes, and Jim Carrey, and Vyacheslav Polunin... Perhaps this is only a game, and external comedic manifestations, but in order to play a jester like that, you have to be yourself, basically "Buffoon-Fool." Our “inner child” always responds to the performance of these people, but if the jester is played by just a good actor, then such a pure, childish reaction does not arise... It has been noticed that most “Jester-Fools” go through a period when they try to become normal people , stop standing out so much from others. Some acquire one or two social roles, and then their unusualness may begin to spill over into some secret aspects of their lives. In extreme cases, this can lead to hidden but passionately cherished perversion.
Psychological characteristics
An extrovert, a loner, but at the same time easily able to establish the first contact with a person, captivating him with his energy. An eternal child, sometimes evil, sometimes kind (this depends only on the assessments of others, but never on the “Jester” himself). Often inconsistent, quickly catches fire and just as quickly loses interest in any matter. Asocial, often shocking, if not in clothing, then in behavior. Often others perceive the “Jester” as an egoist, but this is a very superficial judgment. In fact, when the “Jester” turns on the energies characteristic of him as a generator of new ideas, he surrenders to this state one hundred percent, and all his attention is absorbed in the process of creating something new; as a result, the “Jester” is temporarily disconnected from reality and does not notice anything or anyone around yourself, including your own needs. He really can’t eat or sleep until he completes his creation process. And then for some time he remains in a slightly sane state, childishly sharing the results of his work with those close to him, without bothering to ask how timely it is for them. A phone call at five in the morning to share a new recipe for Mexican meat with cherry sauce is quite in the style of the Jester. Since we are talking about “inclusion” of the “Jester” in the generation process, it is worth noting that for him this is a very energy-intensive process. Then he is forced to rest for a long time and “turn off”, becoming gray and dull. It is during such periods that he can acutely feel his loneliness in the world of people, and he vitally needs the support of loved ones. The periods of “on” and “off” inevitably replace each other, and their frequency and duration depend on individual characteristics and on the energy level of the “Jester” himself. Sometimes there are broken “Jesters” who have exchanged their Gift for socially acceptable ways of living (as much as possible for such an exclusive person) and are in continuous depression, complaining about their fate to others. Most often, this “brokenness” is due to the fact that someone with authority for him was able to convince him that it was time to grow up. For the “Jester,” breaking contact with his childish part is unacceptable! This leads to the fact that the ability to create something new is temporarily lost, and another Mission for the “Jester” is not provided for by the Divine Plan.
Karmic tasks
The karmic path of the “Jester” is very different from the paths of other people.
So much so that it may even conflict with basic ethological programs (instinctive behavior inherited from the animal world). For example, a completely natural ethological program - to adopt successful experience from others, in the form of direct quotation and automatic repetition, practically does not work for “The Jester”. He is always forced to invent his own methods. He doesn’t even come up with his own successful moves and discoveries twice if he doesn’t add something new to them each time. The “Jester” is certainly the “black sheep” in the social flock, and in order to successfully fulfill his Mission, he will have to become a respected “black sheep”. Otherwise, it will be very difficult for him to attract to his path those who can and will dare to follow him, turning “buffoonish” methods into traditional ones. Thus, one of his karmic tasks is to stop imitating, and look for his own, while maintaining his individuality
.
It is very easy to begin to contrast your unusualness with the entire world around you, manifesting and demonstrating all sorts of forms of antisocial behavior. The karmic task of the “Jester” does not include (!) fighting against the entire surrounding world, perceiving an attempt to comb it “with a common comb” as a personal attack! Also, his task does not include (!) staying in a narrow, refined circle of close friends, in which (and only in him) he demonstrates his unusualness. Metaphorically speaking, "The Fool" always stands on the boundaries of the possible and expands them for all humanity. He is a man of the frontier, standing with his back to the majority and expanding the world of our ideas into hitherto unknown areas. We have to admit that the “Jester” will not succeed in anything “normally” - neither earn money nor create a family. That is, the “Jester” will be able to create money, a family, and so on, but only in his own, unique way, following his own paths. And only after he starts creating something new and giving it to the world
!
Another, purely applied psychological task of the “Jester” can be called the need to regulate the relationship between one’s main subpersonalities
. Each of us has an internal “child”, “adult” and “parent” (you can learn more about these subpersonalities in our master class and/or read from E. Bern). If the relationship between this trio in “The Jester” is not settled, then we get one of the options:
1. “Jester” with an ill-mannered “inner child”
A “jester” who is sure that the whole world and everyone living in it were created as a laboratory and “guinea pigs” for his experiments and research. Unfortunately, the opinion of the “rabbits” themselves is put in last place. Those around him sense this and begin to bully the “Jester,” taking on the function of an “inner parent.” At the same time, the “Jester” himself is confident in his love for people, and considers himself a true servant of humanity and its evolution. It becomes almost impossible to obtain social adaptation in such conditions, even with all the support of the Higher Powers (and they support the “Jester” like no other Ray. Even when the “Jester-Fool” is an idiot, he also creates something new, and thus, even crookedly, realizes your Mission). Often, as a means of salvation, a person is sent to the life path of such a “Jester”, who feels it is his calling to protect the “Jester” from the outside world, acting as a mediator and patron, taking on the function of an “inner adult.”
2. “Jester” with a downtrodden “inner child” and an exaggerated “inner parent”
Since childhood, such a person, instead of a set of properties that help social adaptation (the “inner parent” function), collects and imposes on others a set of patterns and stereotypes of behavior (often internally contradictory). And we see before us an unbalanced grouch with inflated demands on others and a cynical view of this world. In this case, the mission of the “Jester” cannot be fulfilled and the priority karmic task becomes establishing contact with one’s “inner child” through deep psychotherapy and/or transformative trainings.
3. “Jester” with a dominant “inner adult”
This is when the “Jester-Fool” tries to become a “Jester-Sage”, which contradicts the deep foundations of this person’s personality and his main karmic task.
The “clown,” instead of creating his own, begins to gain someone else’s wisdom, which does not take root in his field. It turns out to be a kind of “arrogant fool” who, with a smart look and subdued energy, begins to broadcast, absolutely untimely, strangely composed and seemingly smart things. Such a cocktail is absolutely not applicable and ineffective. In this case, a recommendation for solving your karmic problem: act in your unique “clown” style
...
Because I decided - no matter how many lies there are, not to sit in life on someone else’s Procrustean sleigh... / “Odysseus and Nausicaa” K. Arbenin. “Winter quarters of animals”/
Levels of elaboration
We would like to remind you that the “Jester-Fool” is one of the Higher Rays, for which a single rule applies: the first two levels of elaboration are transitional (training). On them, representatives of these Rays are not able to realize their karmic task. We can say that at the initial levels this is not so much elaboration as an attempt to resist one’s Mission, which is accompanied by corresponding karmic punishments. The problems of the first two levels of a person with the Higher Ray teach him to realize and accept himself as he is, for only after this is it possible for him to move towards his Destiny.
Level 1: Introducing the Beam
Even as a child, the “Jester” is surprised to encounter the fact that his innate properties and qualities (such as originality of thinking, independence of perception of this world and the people around him, independence that reaches the point of asociality) are taboo for most others. When he fantasizes, he is accused of lying. When he tries to repeat a recipe from a cookbook, he creates exclusively his own dish of dubious edibility, which again causes discontent among those around him. And so it is in almost all areas of life. The words from Alla Pugacheva’s well-known song “I wanted to make a thunderstorm, but got a goat...” are about “The Jester” at the beginning of the first level of development.
Then there are two options for the development of events:
The first
is that the “Jester” was born into a traditional, conservative family, where the child is diligently raised and governed by social norms.
Being kind by nature, the little “Jester” sees that his unusualness creates problems for his loved ones and diligently learns to hide it under social masks and cliches of behavior. After some time, he succeeds and the “Jester” energy in him turns off. This behavior does not bring him any pleasure and “boring days, vulgar prose, melancholy and deception drag on tediously...” (S. Nadson). At best, the “Jester” creates his own inner world in which he can live by his own rules. According to this scenario, the “Jester,” faced with the impossibility of applying his unusualness in the world around him, simply hides it (including from himself), breaks off contact with it as much as possible. This is a version of a home child who communicates little with peers. The second option
is when parents do not interfere with the little “Jester” to show his individuality. Oddly enough, this happens either in families that pay virtually no attention to raising a child, and he “grows up on the street,” or in families where parents are more advanced and develop individual traits in their children. This allows the “Jester” to communicate more with the surrounding children, where the child is not under the hood of traditional upbringing. And then Fate smiles at the little “Jester”. After all, fortunately for him, in most children the “Jester” energy is present from birth (not as ray energy, but as energy that supports the development of the individuality of the future adult). In this case, the “Jester” quickly becomes the ringleader in various pranks, and if not the leader, then the ideological inspirer of his friends. True, even in this case, in adolescence, when their peers fall asleep with their childish energy, the “Jester” remains alone in his buffoonery and unusualness. The fact is that teenagers no longer do anything new; they follow their own teenage fashion, resisting social norms as much as possible. As a result, the “Jester,” accustomed to being in a pack, follows the example of his friends and suppresses his desire to innovate. In this scenario, the “Jester” is faced with the impossibility of applying his unusualness in the world around him, and, as much as possible, turns it off, plunging into a boring, ordinary existence. No matter how much the rope twists, the end is always the same. The “Jester” of the first level of development, having failed to use his innate talents and not finding a worthy response in the world around him, refuses his Destiny, from following his Ray, in favor of external circumstances. This is due to the fact that the “Jester” needs to lose his unusualness, having fully tasted the “normal” life, in order to subsequently know exactly what the alternative is to his individual and bright path.
Level 2: Beam Resistance
Having reached the very bottom in rejection of its Beam and having stayed there for some time, the “Jester” begins to feel how the Beam is slowly, gradually, from within, undermining the “Jester’s” defense built on the first level. This usually happens at one of the cycles (most often at the age of 24–26 years or 28.5–31 years). An internal revolutionary situation is created in a person when he can no longer live in the old way, but still does not know how to live in a new way. He attracts into his Destiny a certain event, a person as a catalyst for the process of revival of the “Jester” and his life begins to change rapidly (to the great displeasure of his loved ones). A new stage in the life of “The Jester” begins. It should be recalled that the energy of the “Jester” supports and strengthens the “inner child” of a person. And it is at this stage that the unsettled relationship between the internal “child”, “adult” and “parent”, described earlier in the section “Karmic tasks”, becomes most noticeable. The “Jester” can remain in this period for quite a long time, and never reach the third level of development, day after day losing the chance to realize his Mission. In this case, all that remains is to complain about your Fate, live in poverty (the unrealized “Jester” practically does not manage to earn money) and wait for reincarnation...
Level 3: Beam Specialist
The real life of the “Jester” begins only now. He finds his place in life, and he is provided with the protection of the Higher Powers. The mission of the “Jester” is so important that his Divine patrons strive to remove from his life’s path all circumstances that could distract the “Jester” from its implementation. “The Jester” is beginning to be widely known in narrow circles. If his ideas are significant enough, then so are they in wider circles. What was previously considered a whim is now called “the little weaknesses of a genius,” and at the same time, “The Jester” largely levels out its shockingness. Unless, of course, this is an integral part of his idea.
Level 4: Beam Organizer
The idea of the “Jester” (the one with which he is currently burning) begins to require assistants, and a team of people is created around him who are capable of connecting to the energy of this Ray, at least temporarily, at least at work, rejecting their fears and “impossibilities.” As long as a person from such a team maintains his own, reckless fire of the “Jester,” he is able to follow the fourth level “Jester” into the new Universe he creates. The most interesting thing is that he, just like the “Jester,” begins to get lucky, because the Higher Powers protect anyone who follows the “Jester.” But as soon as he begins to doubt the “buffoonish” idea, to think about it, he involuntarily falls out of the energies of this Ray. In this case, favor may give way to problems and losses if a person has gone far from his usual life following the “Jester”. If it’s not far away, then the return occurs painlessly; the person simply leaves the “Jester” team, returning to his normal life. At the same time, we remember that the attitude towards the “Jester” cannot be neutral. A person who left the “Jester” team remembers the period of working with him either with admiration or with hatred (there is no middle ground). It was noted that since “The Jester” has little going on according to the classic plot, then, unlike other Rays, it is possible to move through the levels in the opposite direction. The “Jester” is able to roll back in his development back to the second level and remain there until the end of his life. Or go through this development path several times in both directions.
Level 5: Lucha Ideologist
There are no such things. The very concept of ideology, the establishment of rules for serving the Ray of the “Jester-Fool” is impossible. Maximum - a person who is at the fourth level of development gains worldwide fame. Thus, he shows the world that being a “Jester” is cool, but at the same time, no one, not even his closest followers, can repeat the path of the “Jester.” Posthumous biographers and interpreters of “The Jester”, his activities, his contribution to culture, science, creativity, and sets of rules on how best to follow the ideas of “The Jester” appear. But... there will be no second Faina Ranevskaya, Charlie Chaplin, Milton Erickson... Negative aspect of the lasso
We have described how to decipher the Fool Tarot card in the upright position. Only a few words can be said about the inverted one. Its meaning is negative. If an inverted lasso appears in a reading, you should prepare for the worst. Often he describes a so-called unequal marriage. This is a relationship between people, one of whom is much wiser than the other. Such a connection may exist for some, probably a long time. But sooner or later people will experience disappointment. Such a moment is already coming, the inverted lasso speaks of this. Some event will occur where the partner’s stupidity and different worldviews will be very clearly visible to both. Further communication will be impossible, people will calmly disperse, realizing with relief that such a decision was made by agreement.
Advice of the Arcana Fool
This card recommends that the fortuneteller immerse himself in childhood for a while in order to remember the feeling of delight from learning about the unknown world. This state will come in handy if you want to complete the upcoming lesson correctly. Fantastic discoveries of knowledge lie ahead. Experience will not help you perceive and understand everything correctly. You reach a different level of development of either personality or relationships. Everything will be different in him, previously unknown sensations, circumstances, character traits, and talents will be revealed. The fool is the chaos of the birth of another world. Trust your intuition, listen to your heart, rely on the love given from above. If your partner is with you not by the will of fate, let him go, wishing him real happiness. Arcana Fool is the path to emptiness, which can be turned into hell or filled with the splendor of harmony. It's up to you to decide. Good luck!
