Wealth amulets

We deliberately do not write about wealth and happiness, because these two concepts do not always go hand in hand.

  • Wheel of Fortune

The wheel of fortune amulet does not have to belong to the player. This amulet attracts good luck in various matters, attracts wealth and success in work. But it should be remembered that if you lack knowledge, then luck is unlikely to help. He can only show the right path to achieve the goal. But for gamers, such an amulet will just help them stop on time, and not waste all the money in the game. If you give a player a wheel of fortune, you should definitely tell him about the magical properties of the pendant.

  • Horseshoe

The most famous symbol of good luck is also old. An inverted horseshoe is hung above the front door of a house so that it attracts good luck and repels troubles. Horseshoes of different sizes in the form of pendants are worn on the neck, bracelets, and on chains on clothes.

The horseshoe in the form of an amulet has its own explanations. In ancient times, when the only valuable means of transport was a horse, only rich people could afford to have one. In order for this talisman to attract money to its owner today, it should be hung in a semicircle downwards, as if turning it over. A horseshoe hung with its edges up will bring good luck, and with its edges down it will protect the house.

Celtic amulets are common in our country and are considered the most powerful talismans. Triskel, one of them. It means the unity of all elements, water, earth, fire and air. • Coin of Happiness

A coin with a pattern and a hole in the center is considered the most powerful amulet for attracting money. It has a special energy that spreads like rays across the entire surface and attracts success and wealth.

What to choose for yourself

What are heart pendants made from? How to choose the perfect pendant for yourself?

  • Girls with a cold type of appearance (summer, winter) should choose pendants in cold pink and blood red shades. Among the metals, silver and platinum are suitable for them. Crystals should be snow-white.
  • Fashionistas with warm color types (spring, autumn) should pay attention to warm light shades and coral color. Metals such as gold and bronze are suitable for them. You should choose matte crystals, but not white, but beige or ivory. It is worth paying attention to wooden products.
  • No matter how young you look, your eyes give you away. If you are a mother of three children, a careerist, or simply lost in dreams and romanticism, give up the hearts and leave them for those who are younger.

Wisdom and knowledge

  • Owl

This bird has always been considered a symbol of wisdom in our latitudes. But the Chinese believe that the owl brings not only wisdom, but also strength and wealth. Maybe they are right in some ways. After all, a stupid person will never become rich, and he will simply squander the fortune that fell from the sky, failing to manage it correctly.

An owl sees in the dark. And the pendant with an owl on the neck should tell its owner the right ways to solve problems. A person who is protected by an owl most often chooses the right path in any situation.

In addition, the Owl perfectly reflects the evil eye and damage, because its eyes are like mirrors. The Owl pendant should attract the attention of others, so it must be worn in a visible place.

The goddess (eye of Ra) can appear in two more images - a cobra or a lioness.

  • Scarab beetle

An Egyptian talisman capable of helping those walking along thorny paths. It removes doubts and gives strength along the way. For those who have grandiose and highly ambitious dreams, this talisman will be the best gift.

Some time ago, in the last century, every home had to have a family of elephants. Many believed that elephants brought wisdom, love and financial prosperity.

But fashion comes and goes, most of the amulets have left the bookshelves and tables of their owners. Most often they were hidden in dusty boxes, shoved out of sight.

But it is the elephant that is considered the most powerful and powerful amulet for the home. It brings peace and tranquility, attracts happiness and prosperity. Every jewelry house has at least once produced a pendant with an image of an elephant.

Heart-shaped jewelry and its significance in history

Money cannot buy love, but you can get, for example, a luxurious ring with a large heart-shaped diamond and a dozen more diamonds surrounded. As Valentine's Day approaches, emblems of love are more relevant than ever, appearing on cards, restaurant decor, and flower bouquets. What is the fate of the heart symbol in jewelry? Let's get acquainted with the jewelry history of this romantic image, and at the same time make a chic gift for February 14th with precious stones and in the shape of a heart.

The image of the heart in the form in which we are accustomed to seeing it today first appeared in the Middle Ages, and in the 15th and 16th centuries it became a popular detail in jewelry. It is noteworthy that in the history of jewelry there is not one universal symbol of the heart - there are many of them. For example, in the Victorian era, the image of a “witch’s heart” was used in brooches, pendants and hair ornaments: the figurine of the heart was slightly elongated in length, and the sharp tip was made rounded. It was believed that this emblem protected against the evil eye, bad influence, and also against love betrayal. Around the same era in Scotland, a metal heart with a crown in the form of a brooch served as a sign of strong love; it was given to brides instead of an engagement or wedding ring. If you compare the two jewelry, the difference in cultural traditions immediately comes to the surface: Victorian jewelry is richly decorated with precious stones, while Scottish jewelry has a very ascetic design.

During the reign of Napoleon I in France, a type of sentimental decoration appeared, such as a heart-shaped medallion. The tiny accessory was made of gold with colored stones, and inside there was a message with the words “Love”, “Darling” or “Beloved”. The decoration carried a triple symbolism, combining lyrical confession, the shape of a heart and precious stones, which signified the seriousness of intentions. Absolutely every detail in a sentimental jewelry masterpiece in that era had its own meaning. Diamonds meant the strength of the union, rubies - passionate feelings, sapphires - fidelity and devotion, emeralds - the financial well-being of the couple. When the jewelry was made to order, the lovers themselves chose which stones to accompany the jewelry, and added even more strong symbolism, such as ribbons or bows, which tied the heart and signified unity. Sometimes the heart was specially divided into two parts in order to poetically depict the union of two hearts in one.

Jewelry increasingly tried to convey a declaration of love or tell the personal story of the giver. For example, in the 18th century, passionate feelings were directly expressed through the presence of flame in jewelry, and a century later, the image of a key and lock would symbolize fidelity in sentimental accessories. “The key to my heart is in your hands” - this is how gentlemen in love expressed their feelings through jewelry and accompanied the gift with an engraving with the names of the couple. In the 19th century, jewelry - symbols of love - acquired an even greater number of semantic details: each flower and each stone chosen for the composition carried a specific message, personifying patience, recognition, expectation, innocence, the agony of passion, or warm and almost friendly affection. The closer to modern times, the more individual the decoration becomes and the cherished message it carries to the addressee.

What to wear with a heart pendant

If you find it difficult to choose a heart or an outfit to go with it, then here are some win-win options.

  1. Small, lightweight pendants are well suited for the warm season. A long chain, a pendant, a flared T-shirt with a crew neck and a matching bottom are a stylish solution for going for a walk or to the cinema. In hot weather, a crop top, high-waisted shorts and a small heart on the collarbone will look great. You can wear several chains of different lengths with pendants.
  2. In cool autumn, wooden pendants or bronze jewelry are appropriate with a red or sky blue sweater and brown and blue pants. Also in autumn, a flared skirt, a blouse and a big red heart on the chest are appropriate.
  3. In the cold season, heart pendants should be worn with things without pronounced textures, otherwise the pendant will get lost against its background. The decoration should be quite large if worn with a sweater, or have relatively small dimensions with thin items. The more things and the thicker they are, the larger the heart should be.

Valknut among the Slavs

Some researchers note that a similar symbol could be seen among the ancient Slavs, who also had signs similar to those around the runes. The signs of our ancestors such as the triquetra and trefoil, seen among the Celts and Scandinavians, had a similar appearance.

According to researchers, the knot of the fallen was borrowed from the Germanic peoples after the establishment of relations. Presumably, it had the same meaning as the German version - it personified the trinity. The following meaning is also noted:

  1. Uniting the past, present and future.
  2. Merging soul, body and mind.
  3. The commonality of worlds, the connection between the living and the dead.

Pendant as a unit of measurement:

A coulomb is a unit of measurement of electrical charge (amount of electricity) as well as flux of electrical induction (flux of electrical displacement) in the International System of Units (SI), named after the French physicist and engineer Charles Coulomb.

The pendant as a unit of measurement has a Russian designation - Kl and an international designation - S.

1 coulomb is defined as the amount of charge passing through a conductor at a current of 1 ampere in 1 second.

Cl = A · s.

1 C = 1 A s = 1/3600 ampere hour.

The charge of one pendant is very large. If two charge carriers (q1 = q2 = 1 C) were placed in a vacuum at a distance of 1 m, then they would interact with a force of 9⋅109 N, that is, with the force with which the Earth’s gravity attracts an object weighing about 1 million tons.

Electric charge (amount of electricity) is a physical scalar quantity. Electric charge carriers are electrically charged elementary particles (electron, positron, proton, etc.). The smallest particle by mass that is stable in a free state and has one negative elementary electric charge is the electron. The electric charge of an electron is indivisible and equal to -1.6021766208(98)⋅10−19 C. The charge of a proton is also equal to the charge of an electron, but with the opposite sign (+ sign) and is equal to +1.6021766208(98)⋅10−19 C.

Thus, the elementary electric charge (to within a sign equal to the charge of an electron or proton) is the above value +/- 1.602176 6208(98)⋅10−19 C. Accordingly, the electric charge of 6.24151⋅1018 electrons is equal to -1 C, and the electric charge of 6.24151⋅1018 protons is equal to +1 C. In this case, the mass of the electron is 9.10938356(11)⋅10−31 kg, and that of the proton is 1.672 621 923 69(51)⋅10−27 kg.

The smallest antiparticle stable in a free state with a positive elementary charge is the positron, which has the same electric charge as the electron, but with a + sign. The electric charge of a positron is +1.6021766208(98)⋅10−19 C. The mass of the positron is 9.10938356(11)⋅10−31 kg.

The coulomb was introduced into the International System of Units by the decision of the XI General Conference on Weights and Measures in 1960, simultaneously with the adoption of the SI system as a whole. In accordance with the SI rules regarding derived units named after scientists, the name of the unit “coulomb” is written with a lowercase letter, and its designation with a capital letter (Cl). This spelling of the designation is also preserved in the designations of derived units formed using a pendant.

Rules of application

Before choosing an amulet, you should evaluate your qualities and the goals that the practitioner wants to achieve. You should not expect that the amulet will do everything for a person on its own; it acts only as an assistant and guide in any matter. The energetic force of any talisman must interact with the energy of the owner and direct his deeds and thoughts to actions that will serve to achieve the goal. Amulets will not help people who are envious, aggressive and have evil intentions. They can even harm them, since talismans are initially aimed at goodness, protection and assistance in noble causes.

The Cleansing Power of Silver

Slavic amulets made of silver
Slavic amulets, both before and now, were made from different materials. It could be a tree with magical properties; signs were carved on stones or household items. Jewelry was forged from bronze or copper. The most common are silver amulets and talismans. They are popular in all countries and religions.

Silver has been used in jewelry making for a long time. Its malleability and softness are not suitable for the production of household items, but such properties are ideal for jewelry.

Later, the special magical influence of the metal was noticed, so people began to treat it and use it in witchcraft or cult rituals. Silver in many religions has been associated with some deity. So, in paganism it was associated with Mara, the patroness of witchcraft. It was believed that silver was a lunar metal and therefore more suitable for women.

Its purposes can be identified as follows:

  • prevention of infectious diseases;
  • healing properties;
  • develops intuition, paranormal abilities;
  • purification of the soul;
  • silver sanctifies everything it touches;
  • exorcise evil spirits;
  • rejuvenates and strengthens the body;
  • absorbs negative information and energy;
  • enhances the properties of magical items.

All of the above makes silver an ideal material.

The history of the origin of the Scandinavian symbol Valknut

The image of this symbol has been found on objects of Scandinavian culture and everyday life since ancient times. The historical name itself has not survived to this day; the name “Valknut” was assigned later, around the 14th-15th centuries. AD The word is formed from 2 components, performed in Old Norse:

  • Valr (val) , which is translated as “ lost ”, “ fallen ”. The same basis is found in the word “ Valhalla ” - a kind of paradise for the Vikings, the home of deceased warriors who gained fame and respect. Every fighter dreamed of entering this habitat, located in Asgard.
  • Knut , meaning " knot ".

The general interpretation of the name from the original language is the knot of the fallen (dead, deceased, deceased).

It was given during the period when ancient objects were found by researchers, solely based on the perception of the location of discovery and neighboring elements. Whether the ancient Scandinavians put such a meaning into the name of the sign is unknown.

There was an image of a magical element in the territory inhabited by Germanic tribes. The most popular finds with a drawing of Valknut:

  • Sturo-Hammar stone . This item is a sacrificial structure located in Gottlieb, Sweden. The stone is created in a phallic shape and contains a skillfully carved image. The meaning of the picture presumably concerns the process of performing the “bloody raven” ritual, which was a variant of sacrifice using a person.

  • Tengelgord stone. Located in the same place as the previous building. On it you can see an image of marching warriors. Presumably they are heading to Valhalla. There are several Valknuts located under one of the people's horses.

  • Stone at Lilybiers . Located on the same island as the previous ones, it is also designed in a phallic shape and decorated with ornaments along the edge. The painting shows a rider on a horse riding into Valhalla, with a bundle of the dead visible next to his head.

  • Norwegian burial ship found in the province of Vestfold. The Valknut is not present on the structure itself, but on the carvings of the bedpost and the dish. All elements are made of oak.

  • Gold ring found in the River Nin (England).

  • Bone cylinder in the Gnezdovo Nature Reserve.

The connection of the sign with the afterlife and warriors is obvious, but there is no general opinion regarding the meaning of the knot; this issue continues to be discussed by scientists and esotericists.

Most popular versions:

  1. Heart of Hrungnir . According to the Younger Edda, there was an invincible and brave Scandinavian giant. His name was Hrungnir, and the heart was described as similar to a runic symbol, having 3 corners with a pronounced sharpness.
  2. Sign of Odin . He was the supreme god, patronized warriors and was the owner of Valhalla. Human sacrifices were made in his honor, and stones were also erected in honor of the supreme ruler.
  3. The trinity of the main representatives of the Scandinavian pantheon. There are different interpretations here. According to the first, the triangles symbolize Odin, Ve and Vili, who created the Universe. According to other sources, these are Freya, Tyr and Heimdal, demonstrating the unity of the levels of human spiritual development: feelings, body and spirit. The third version suggests that the sign is a symbol of Odin, Loki and Tenir (wisdom, ingenuity and physical strength).
  4. Unity of 3 worlds : Helheim (dead), Asgard (deities) and Midgard (human).
  5. The totality of the past, present and future , their endless movement.

Where to buy a silver Slavic amulet, how to choose

Now there is no shortage of shops of Slavic paraphernalia. Prices and quality of products vary. It’s better to choose proven ones that have a lot of reviews. Many of them employ not just jewelers, but people who study Slavic symbolism and mythology. It's better to find one like this.

It is better to choose the amulets themselves with original Slavic signs, not stylized. This way they will be more useful. For example, animals or runes are not depicted on the swastika, although this is now common.

Many images of animals are presented as Slavic symbols, but not many of them were used in Rus'. These were mainly frogs, ducks and horses. Cats, tigers, bears, wolves, and especially skulls, were not applied as amulets either to clothing or jewelry.

When choosing, it is better to first study the meaning of the symbol by reading more than one source, but it is better to find the original source, where researchers describe Slavic symbolism. As a last resort, you can chat in native believer communities.

The correct Slavic amulet made of silver will not only be a decoration indicating belonging to the Slavic faith, but will also provide protection to the ancient gods and ancestors. Silver will protect from evil spirits, damage, the evil eye, witchcraft, and will cleanse the owner’s energy.

Symbolism of Slavic amulets

In ancient times, amulets were chosen according to gender, since each sign was protected by its own force of nature, its own gods.

Charms for women

Women's amulets made of silver
Women needed special protection as continuers of the family, guardians of the hearth. A happy, full of strength woman bestows her soft positive energy on her husband and children.

Women's jewelry was designed to protect the owner from dark forces, helped to bear and give birth to healthy offspring, and gave youth, beauty, and health.

Now there are such images:

Makosh - suitable for older women, homemakers. Brings happiness, wealth, peace to the home;

Lada star - gives the owner health, youth, beauty. Protects the family from troubles;

Woman in labor - intended to awaken the maternal instinct in a woman, the desire to care. Helps to bear and give birth to a healthy child. Facilitates childbirth;

Ladinets - protects against damage, curses, and the evil eye. Used by women of all ages. Each age has its own meaning. Helps young people find their betrothed, and helps married people establish good relationships in the family;

Lunnitsa - brings love, female happiness, beauty, harmony to the family and home;

Yarovik is a two-sided symbol designed to increase something: both wealth and family.

Charms for men

Men's amulets

A man is a breadwinner, a protector. A family that lost its breadwinner lost its income and could not feed itself.

Men wore fewer amulets. More often, protective symbols were applied to armor and tools. The few decorations that were used by men were intended to give strength, courage, masculinity, to protect in battle, during hunting, and to attract wealth.

The amulets given by the woman had special energy, since they were shrouded in her magic.

In modern online stores you can find the following varieties:

Ax of Perun - will give physical and spiritual strength to the owner. Protects values: family, love, faith.

Hammer of Svarog - gives peace, wisdom, helps to learn new things. Helps strengthen the family;

Thunderbolt - women never wore it, because it is a warlike sign. Grants strength, power to the wearer, invincibility in defending the Motherland, invulnerability in battle;

Thunderstorm - helps to resist misfortunes, protects from the elements. It is customary to wear it for sailors, pilots, firefighters, and people of other professions associated with the elements;

Rodimych - gives confidence in oneself and one’s abilities. Since ancient times it was given to boys;

Ratiborets - strengthens the connection with ancestors, forces you to make the right decisions. Now it is suitable for those whose work involves dangers: military, firefighters, police.

Universal amulets

Universal amulets

Genderless amulets:

Yarilo is a good solar sign. Brings benefit to everyone who possesses it;

Alatyr is the most universal symbol. It can be found both in embroidery and in amulets. Drives away illnesses and evil spirits. It gains greater power if it is given as a gift;

Veles - this sign was even placed on domestic animals, especially cows and bulls, to protect them. He reveals secret knowledge to people, develops intuition, gives a connection with the family;

Svarozhich - helps to follow the intended path without straying from it. Helps only in good, lawful deeds;

A torch helps to delve into the very essence of things. Now it is recommended to be worn by journalists, musicians, executives and everyone who seeks the truth. It is also worn by people who are desperate and have lost the meaning in life.

This is not a complete list. Only the most commonly used ones are collected here.

Who is suitable for guards with wings?

To determine which amulet is suitable for a person, you need to find out the meaning of the talisman, its properties and action. Winged amulets will help the following categories of people:

  • those in need of spiritual support, protection and patronage;
  • starting a new business;
  • undergoing training;
  • a married couple who wants to have children;
  • engaged in creativity or science.

For the amulet to help, they take it in their hands and mentally ask for help, investing their mentality and energy into it.

What kind of Slavic amulets are there now?

Having analyzed online stores of Slavic jewelry and paraphernalia, we can identify several main types that can be purchased:

  1. Pendants. They already bear little resemblance to what our ancestors wore. Nowadays, the most common images are images of predatory animals, palaces, Thor’s hammer, Perun’s axe, the world tree, and various swastikas.
  2. Rings and rings. Often these are men's rings with signs of gods or symbols applied. Silver wedding rings with Slavic symbols stand out separately. Since ancient times, it was customary for newlyweds to exchange rings. The husband gave gold to his wife because it is a solar metal with masculine energy. A woman gave a man a silver ring, since it is a lunar metal with feminine energy.
  3. Earrings. Most often, earrings are just stylization; less often you can find truly protective signs with meaning.
  4. Chains and bracelets. There are few bracelets with applied symbols, but the silver itself on the wrist will act as protection from evil forces, regardless of the design. If desired, you can wear a small pendant on the bracelet chain.
  5. Beads. Beads with imprinted symbols that have a primordial meaning are rare. This is more of a stylized decoration.
